Fuchs steps down as Newport manager

Christian Fuchs has stepped down as manager of Newport County. 

The former Leicester defender was appointed in November 2025 and kept the club in League Two on the final day of the season in his first managerial position.

Man City sign Troyes forward Detourbet

French club Troyes have sold forward Mathys Detourbet to  Manchester City

 Troyes announced the transfer on X and on its website without giving financial details. 

According to L'Equipe City have signed the 19-year-old Frenchman for around 21.6m  and he would be loaned to Monaco next season.

Weghorst reunited with Ten Hag at FC Twente

Ajax have confirmed the departure of Wout Weghorst following the expiration of his contract.

The former Burnley and Manchester United player has joined FC Twente, signing on a two-year deal and reuniting with his former Manchester United boss, the clubs new technical director Erik ten Hag.

Weghorst had been at Ajax since the summer of 2024 and is part of the Netherlands squad at the 2026 World Cup.

Brest appoint Roy's former assistant as manager

Stade Brest have confirmed Julien Lachuer as their new manager following the death of Eric Roy.

Lachuer had been the assistant to Roy since his arrival in 2023, and Roy had specifically wished for the club to appoint Lachuer as his replacement.

In a statement on X, the club said: Stade Brestois is pleased to officially announce the appointment of Julien Lachuer as head coach of the professional team for the next two seasons. Wished for by Eric Roy before his passing on June 17, the responsibility of continuing the work of the Niois technician has been accepted by Julien Lachuer, just days before the scheduled resumption on Thursday, July 2. A mission, like a natural legacy, that he will approach with a perfect knowledge of the club gained over the years spent at Stade Brestois.

Fulham confirm permanent signing of Kusi-Asare

Fulham have announced the permanent signing of Jonah Kusi-Asare from Bayern Munich for an undisclosed fee. 

The 18-year-old joined the club on loan last summer and made seven Premier League appearances. He also scored four times in five Premier League 2 games for the Cottagers. 

Speaking to the club's website, the young forward said: "Im very happy to be a permanent Fulham player. From my first week here, it was very good I felt like I was a part of the Fulham family.

"The changing room was very nice, team, staff, so Im very happy to stay here."

Vice Chairman and Director of Football Operations Tony Khan added: "Im thrilled to welcome Jonah Kusi-Asare to Fulham on a long-term contract.

"We believe that he is a very talented young player with massive potential and a bright future, and were very happy that Jonah is joining the Club permanently now following his time with us on loan."

Anderson's move to Man City is not a distraction, says Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel insists Elliot Anderson's transfer to Manchester City has not caused any distractions in the England camp at the World Cup.

City agreed a 116m deal to sign the midfielder from Nottingham Forest, making hin the most expensive British player of all time. 

"We had no distractions, no medical before the match," said Tuchel. 

"All the focus was on his recovery and getting him available for training. 

"The focus was on training and travelling with us. No distractions from the main topic, which is clearly the match tomorrow [Panama on Saturday].

"We want to win the match, win the group. We need Elliot in the right mindset.

"The reality is that transfers are going on in world football while we are playing. Big transfers take a lot of time.

"We know that things are going on behind the scenes. We will facilitate that transfer but after the match, not before."

Spurs confirm Veliz exit

Tottenham have confirmed Alejo Veliz is set to leave the club to join Brazilian side Bahia

Your Site News understands Spurs will receive a fee of just under 8m for the 22-year-old. 

The striker joined Spurs from Rosario Central in 2023 and made eight appearances for the club, scoring one Premier League goal. 

He had previously spent time on loan at both Sevilla and Espanyol.
