Tyson Fury to fight Mariusz Wach in Thailand on July 24 before Anthony Joshua showdown

Tyson Fury will finalise preparations for his proposed November showdown with Anthony Joshua by fighting Mariusz Wach in Thailand on July 24.

Joshua and Fury are expected to finally share the ring this year, although a location and a date for the blockbuster bout have yet to be finalised.

Two-time world champion Joshua has been training alongside former opponent Oleksandr Usyk ahead of a comeback bout against Kristian Prenga on July 25.

It has now been confirmed that Fury will fight the 46-year-old Pole at Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya the day before.

"2026 is a landmark year for me in boxing and I'm excited to be able to bring this event to Pattaya, a part of the world that is special to me," Fury said.

"We're coming together to put on a great show for the fans, while using the opportunity to give back the local community, who have been so good to me every time I have visited.

"At the same time, I'm fully focused on preparing for a tough opponent and making sure I'm the best version of Tyson Fury going into fight night.

"It's the start of a huge second half of the year for me."

Fury is set to be presented with the inaugural WBC Humanitarian title at the event, with all ticket profits donated to local charities.

Wach's 52-fight career record of 39-13 (20 KOs) includes defeats to Hughie Fury, Tyson's cousin, British heavyweights Moses Itauma and Dillian Whyte, as well as a 2012 loss to unified heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury's promoter Frank Warren added: "Boxing is a better place with Tyson Fury in it, so it's fantastic to have him back in action on July 24.

"Tyson is in great shape and completely focused on putting on a show against Mariusz Wach.

"He's a true global superstar and I've no doubt the fans will pack the place out in Thailand to watch a vintage performance from the Gypsy King."
